Why am I starting a blog?
Because I'm bored of talking to myself about my mommy thoughts, ideas, rants, new product discoveries that make my life easier...and much more! Let's be honest, hours alone each day with a 9 month old baby do not exactly make for intelligent, engaging conversations. By 10 am, we've usually played with every toy (twice!), read many books, sang every song (off-key) in my repetoire. 'J' has also played with the dog's toys, upturned her bowls, and chewed on the playmats.
Generally, this is when we head out of the house to playgroups, library storytime, drop-in playcentre, or...the mall! Then home for lunch and nap. Then the worst time of the day - 2:30pm until daddy gets home. I feel like a unsuccessful, unpaid children's entertainer on the best of days :-) On the particularly tired days, I plop J in the Exersaucer or Jolly Jumper for a few minutes (not sure why this gives me such Mommy Guilt because he's having fun!) and turn on the TV for some mindless entertainment. Or I talk to myself....or shop online, one of my favorite things to do since I went on maternity leave.
So here I am.
